The annual membership fee of $5 is due in April, but you can pay it any time you choose to join. Another way to pay is to join the Michigan Democratic Party for at least $25. If you do that, our party gets a kick back of $7.25 and it increases, if you choose a higher membership category. That way you don’t have to make out two checks. The money that comes back to our party will pay your membership fee.
Remember to follow our facebook page for all the latest announcements of area activities. There are are so many things going on these days, that you should check it daily.
Please join us for the monthly business meeting at 6:00 in Bellaire at the county government building. We meet on the second floor in the commissioner’s meeting room.

There was a good turnout on Feb. 13 in Elk Rapids to meet with Rep. Triston Cole. He gave a good Power Point presentation about his activities since taking office and seemed to be listening to everyone. However, when asked about funding Planned Parenthood, he said he is in favor of defunding it, even when pressed on women’s health issues. Then he proudly showed his recent rating as the second most conservative representative in the State House. On a positive note, he is committed to talking to all the members of his district and especially appreciates hand written notes.
Now that the reality has set in about the next four years with President Trump, the ACDP and Women Dems are committed to taking action. Several members marched in Washington, DC and Traverse City and they are fired up to act and resist. Follow our Facebook pages for the latest news. If you aren’t a member, you can join for only $5 by downloading the membership form on this site.
